HANOI

The tour bus drove south on a 2 hours half journey towards China-Vietnam border. Our tour guide bade us goodbye here at Dongxing Port. We took a buggy ride over China-Vietnam Friendship Bridge to enter Vietnam. The border is separated by River Dong Ka Long. Many locals just walked across the bridge.

From the Vietnam Immigration at Mong Cai International Border gate, we drove to Ha Long town. We stayed at Heritage Ha Long Hotel. It was over 3 hours drive.

In the evening, we watched Vietnamese water puppet show and a cultural show.

NANNING

Nanning, capital of Guangxi was our next itinerary. We visited Minorities Cultural Relics Centre in the morning. Guangxi has 10 indigenous ethnic minorities of which the Zhuang is the largest of the groups.

Nanning City is impressive. It is modern and thriving. This is China 2^nd or 3^rd tier city and clearly demonstrated the progress China has made.

In the evening, we saw a very beautiful night scenes of Nanning as well as Yong Jiang (River) that flows through this city. The river was lighted up that looks like Christmas celebration with Chinese characteristics
