We flew on Jetstar 3K 515 to Bangkok.
From BKK airport, we took public transport, City Railway to Makkasan MRT Station. From there, we took Blue line to Bang Sue Station and walked to the newly built Krung Thep Central Station and boarded the Northeast Rail Line. Train #139 departed at 1925. We had a sleeper seat and it was comfortable 10-hour ride to Ubon Ratchathani, scheduled to arrive there the following morning at 6.30 am.
Something unfortunate happened, I lost my wallet on the Blue Line, but luckily, the loss was not significant to disrupt my holiday. I kept most of my important cards and cash in my carry bag.
It was indeed a long day, but the travel experience was what I wanted. The satisfaction of navigating on public transport to a far away place.
