Grand Canyon Southern Rim

Free park shuttles are provided to move visitors along the Southern Rim. Personal vehicles are not permitted along this road. The shuttle move along Hermit Road and stops at vantage points along the route.  We started from the Village centre and move to Hermit Rest on the “Hermit Rest Route”. We stopped at every point and trek westerly or hopped on shuttle to the next points.

To view east of the village, we hope on the Kaibab/Rim Route bus.

From the village towards the eastern portion of Southern Rim, visitors move on their own vehicles over the Desert View Drive.  We stopped at Grand View Point and ended our sightseeing at 

Desert  View  Watchtower.

It had been a long and tiring day, but very rewarding. The entire Southern Rim is over 270 miles. 

It was a 2 hours drive to Page through semi arid desert.  Dusk was beautiful

Next day we are going to tour the famous Antelope Canyon instead of going to North Rim of GC
