Minh Binh, Tam oÊ» Trang An

The morning weather was cloudy with light drizzle. Certainly, it is not inspiring to start the day. This morning itinerary was Hang Mua (Mua Caves)

Hang Mua is also called Ngoa Long or Dragon Mountain, and it takes 500 steps to reach the summit where a large dragon and Buddha sit.

There are 2 pagodas and a Dragon sculpture perched on the hilltop.

What brought tourists here is that the summit  provides a panoramic view of the surrounding padi field, karst mountains, and Ngo Dong River. But the poor visibility today was a dampener.

At the foothill are many lotus pond. The surrounding karst mountains are picturesque.

There's a garden too.

And there is a wonderful manicured garden too.

After lunch, we went to the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex. He we took a 3 hours boat tour of this scenic limestone karsts submerged in water.

The boat went through many caves, some over 300m in length.

The boats stopped at a 3 temples devoted to Taoism and Buddhism, built during Chinese rule.

Suoi Tien Temple

Cung Vu Lam Temple

The boat tour was enchanting and enjoyable on a slow boat, viewing the stunning landscape.

The boat rowers were mostly elderly women. At anytime, there must be hundreds of boats floating on the water. It was an amazing sight.
