Ha Giang Loop Tour Day 2

Du Gia - Mae Due - Ban Luong - Sung Trai- Meo Vac - Ma Pi Leng Viewpoint - Dong Van Homestay. 

The weather was very cold throughout the night. The sky was overcast with intermittent drizzle as we set off to Mae Due. 

First stop was a ruined French colonial outpost. Here we got a good view of the nearby village and valley.

The roads was winding with many zig zag and sharp turns through the mountains. Visibility was poor driving through the clouds.

At higher altitude, the karst mountains shrouded in fog were still charming.

Next destination was bamboo rafting in Ban Luong.

On the way back to Mae Due, the pyramid shaped karst mountains are a spectacular sight.

Heading to Sung Trai for lunch, we drove through a dozen zig zag roads.

From Sung Trai to our final destination, Dong Van, we drove through Ma Pi Leng Viewpoint and Meo Vac

Ma Pi Leng Viewpoint. As it was very cloudy, view of this pass was not very impressive. 

Our driver stopped at nearby Viewpoint to see the Dong Van karst mountains. 

Arrived at Dong Van Hmong Homestay on the fringes of Don Van. Dinner with our motocycle riders, driver and fellow tourists.
