Lake Kenyir in Trengganu

8th to 15th Jan 2019

I spend 3 nights in Kuala Trengganu. This is my first visit to this place. From here, I spent a day exploring Tasik (Lake)  Kenyir and the next 2 days exploring this city especially the Chinese area and also enjoyed the Chinese food here.

The drive to Lake Kenyir was about one hour. Lake Kenyir is a man made lake by damning up Kenyir River in central Trengganu. The previous high ground are now islands. This lakes are home to exotic wildlife and numerous fresh water fishes.

The lake and landscape is picturesque and the tranquil serenity make it a great getaway. It has many attractive parks and waterfalls and many houseboats for guests.

Unfortunately, this place seem under utilized and the buzz factor is obviously missing.
