Day 8

Guiyang

Jiaxiu Tower

Jiaxiu Tower, situated in downtown Guiyang in Guizhou Province, is a grand wooden tower built on a huge turtle-shaped rock on Nanming River. Initially built in the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644), the tower has been renovated for six times. It used to be one of Eight Great Sights in Guiyang. Now regarded as a landmark and a cultural symbol of Guiyang (Google)

Cuiwei Garden and Gongnan Pavilion

Cuiwei Garden is a group of large-scale ancient buildings. It is mainly composed of the majestic and upright Gongnan Pavilion, the dignified and quiet Longmen Academy, the graceful Danhuakong Cuiyuan, and the serene crane and wulan. The building is integrated with the garden courtyard. Adjacent to the Chengnan Jiaxiu Tower, it covers an area of more than 4000 square meters. It was built in the Ming Dynasty (1425 – 1435) and was originally named Nanan (Google)
