YICHANG TO
CHONGQING
The cruise
ship slipped off Yichang berth and sailed on River Yangtze towards Xiling Gorge.
We woke up
before sunrise and look around the ship’s main deck elegant furnishing and walked on the sun deck and enjoyed the cool
fresh morning air. The river was calm and greenish and viewed the spectacular
views on both sides of the river.
The ship
berthed at Xilin and we disembarked and joined a land tour of the Three Gorges Dam
exhibition to better understand this gigantic task of damning up the 3rd
longest river in the world and same time see how ships are lifted ships from
the lower river to the upper dam.

The cruise continued
her journey towards the locks and we watched the amazing operations where she will be lifted up to upper portion of
Yangtze River through 5 giant locks. It was indeed an engineering masterpiece.
