Yangtse River Cruise - Yichang to Chongqing

DAY5

We drove to Yichang in Hubei where our cruise ship was berthed. It was a medium size ship suitable for cruising along Yangtse River. The ship is elegantly furnished and we had balcony room. The cruise duration is 3 days and journey ends at  Chongqing. During the cruise, there will be stopovers at a few interesting places including the 3 Gorges Dam. We will also experience and observe how the ship is raised in 5 locks to above the dam in a 3 hours operation.

ZHANGJIAJIE N YANGTSE CRUISE D4 APRIL 2009

Zhangjiajie 

Today tour will focus on the beautiful Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. The park comprises of dense forest, deep ravines and canyon, unusual peaks, precipitous cliffs, caves and bizarre pillar-like rock formations which is renowned worldwide where the film Avatar took its inspiration from. Trams move tourist from one end to another. This Park is listed  in  UNESCO.

Our tour today was viewing the famous and breathtaking scenary of Wulingyuan and Ten Mile Gallery

The Ten Mile Natural Gallery of Suoxi Valley Nature Reserve is located at the base of Tianzi Mountain.  The key highlights of this scenic place are more than one hundred of objects of both sides of the canyon formed naturally by mountains and rocks. Names are assigned to this uniquely shape rocks formations.
