Xi'an City Wall

23 Nov 18

One of the most complete defensive system that still remain today. The wall was built in the 14th century with a rectangular perimeter of 14 km. Detail easily available on the web or Google..

We rented bicycles and cycled 3 hours with some rest and photos stop in good cool weather.

Outside the city wall was the canal beautiful manicured and landscaped with broad pedestrians walk for enjoyable stroll and relaxation.

This morning we had breakfast, a favourite local bowl of beef with bread in soup.

For lunch, it was street food with BBQ duck on skewers and chopped lamb meat stuffed in fried bun or "Chinese hamburger". The local call it Roujiamo.

In the evening, we went to the Muslim Quarter. I will dwell on this interesting place in my next post.
