Half Day Tour Chiang Mai

Hmong Hill Tribe Village

Today we joined an afternoon tour of Chiang Mai outskirt. Our first visit was a Hmong Village and Museum. The Hmong are a hill tribe ethnic minority that are found in indo China as well as in southern China.

Doi Suthep

Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is Chiang Mai’s most famous temple and also sacred temple in Northern Thailand. It sits on a 1676m high mountain but the temple is about 1000m high and provides a panoramic view of Chiang Mai.

The temple was built with large Buddha statues inside and the walls surrounding the complex are decorated with gorgeous mural painting.

Besides the day tours, we spent most of our time walking around the city of Chiangmai where its weather  is cool and pleasant. There were massage parlours everywhere which we indulged everyday. Thai food are also delicious. There are many shops selling cheap T-shirts and clothing.
