HOW TO MOVE FROM ONE CITY TO ANOTHER

This is a documentary of how I travelled from town to town in Southern Thailand. Phetchaburi to Kanchanaburi is a good example which I experienced today. There is no direct public transport service between these two cities. So I had to transit through Ratchaburi.

This morning, after checked out, I walked to the nearest main road to hail a motorbike taxi. The driver wears sleeveless coloured shirt with a number. It cost 40B to ride about 2 km to Phetchaburi Bus Terminal.

From the bus terminal,  I boarded a minivan to Ratchaburi Bus Terminal which cost 40B. The ride is about 50 minutes on highway. The driver will drop of passenger along the way.

From Ratchaburi bus terminal, I hopped onto a tuk tuk taxi. Along the way, the taxi picked more passengers along its route to the town centre to in  Kanchanaburi. He dropped me off the main road near the Bus Terminal. It cost me 10B.

At this Ratchaburi Bus Terminal, I boarded a public bus in bright yellow colour. The bus services will terminate in Kanchanaburi Bus Terminal. Along the route, it stops at smaller towns to pick up or disembark passengers. There is a bus conductor on this bur. The bus is big but has no air conditioning. The price for this ride is 50B and takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes.

On arrival at Kanchanaburi Bus Terminal, I engaged motorbike taxi again to take me to my booked hotel. It cost 50B for this 2 km ride.

My haversack is strapped to my back.. There other bag can be placed in between the driver and steering or some drivers insist I placed the bag behind him and me.
