Day 5

Jiuzhaigou to Wenchuan Town

Before checking out this morning, we had some time to look around this beautiful 5-stars Sheraton Jiuzhaigou Resort after breakfast. It's design is elegant an opulent. The hotel staff dressing was uniquely Tibetan. Our bedroom was really cozy and comfortable.

We start our long bus ride towards Chengdu City. It was over 7 hours through beautiful mountains and valleys and winding roads. This route was through Maoxian and Aba Counties with population mostly Qiang people. There are many tourist Qiang villages along the route.

Along the way we stopped by Songzhou Ancient City. Also known as Songpan Ancient Town was built in the Tang Dynasty and  functioned as a military base. The town has rich historical and cultural values.

                                       

After lunch, our next stop was Songping Valley Scenic area

                                        

We stayed over the night in Wenchuan Town after over 6 hours of bus journey.
