Singapore to Chengdu

May 2006 was 16 years ago when I joined this tour. This was my first holiday without the children and this was my first China tours since my honeymoon in Nov 1988 in China. Writing this blog was also challenging as my memories was hazy but thanks to internet, digital photos and Google, it was still possible to piece together the itineraries from the photos.

This tour kick started my regular travel normally through packaged tours to other parts of China. Since then, I had travelled vastly across western and south western China, covering the provinces of   Tibet, Guizhou, Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan Szechuan, Gansu, Xinjiang and Qinghai. In central and eastern China, I have travelled to Shaanxi, Chongqing, Henan, Anhui, Shandong, Jiangsu and Zhejiang.

I was inspired to tour Jiuzhaigou by magazines and travel documentaries. So I took an 8 days tour package with Hong Thai Travels.

We arrived in Chengdu in the afternoon and drove north to Mianyang. Along the way, we stopped by a temple and memorial which I am still struggling to figure out the name. We also watched a performance.

In the late afternoon will visit another temple and still searching for the name.  It will be updated once I find the information.

We stayed at Mianyang for the night.
