Sitiawan-Lumut-Kg. Pasir Panjang-Teluk Intan
Lumut is a well developed town though seem to be under utilised. Its the gateway to Pangkor Island
Lumut Water Front
The waterfront of Lumut
Guang Fu Gong Temple. It was very crowded as it was a celebration for the Guan Yin Birthday.
Walking around the city.
Kampong Permatang. South of Lumut
Kampong Pasir Panjang Laut. There is a very large Chinese temple built here out of no where. (Tua Pek Kong Temple) There are many hugh statues of various gods.
It took us an hour drive to reach Teluk Intan. We had lunch near a 170 years old Hock Soon Keong Temple.
After checking into Yew Boutique Hotel, I went out to walk in the town of Teluk Intan. Perak River meanders around the town. The town is old, mainly two or 3 storeys terraced shophouses with European architecture. There seem to be a fair balance of races in Teluk Anson. A very multiracial town as I saw Muslim mosque, Hindu and Chinese Temples all situated close to one another.
The historical landmark is Menara Condong Teluk Intan. It is leaning just like the leaning tower of Pisa. It was built by a Chinese businessman in 1885.
