Nakhon Phanom and Bueng Kan
We had a morning walk along the Mekong and viewed the sun rising over Laos. The mountain ranges in the morning mist were a beautiful sight. We walked about 2 km south of the Naga Monument.
On the way back, we stopped by 5 temples. Admiring the temple grandeur and elegance
Wat Okat
Wat Pho Si Pkra Tong
Wat Klang
Buddhist Temple
Wat Phra In Praeng
Phanom Naga Park
After breakfast, I walked around the town before checking out of hotel for Bueng Kan.
The bus stopped at Ban Phaeng before arriving at Bueng Kan Bus Terminal. The drive was 3 hours and was smooth as the road surfaces were good. The journey took us through sparsely populated land, with occasional plots of rubber trees. Otherwise, there was not much commercial cultivation seen along the route.
After checking into The One Hotel, we had a late lunch. We walked to the Mekong River, but this town doesn't have a river walkway, unlike Mukhadan and Nakhon Phanom. However, there were many open air food hawkers along the river bank.
