We visited Jiayuguan Historical Site. It was a very strategic military position that protect China western flank from the barbarian. Here is also the most western point in the Great Wall of China.

The pass is located at the narrowest point of the western section of the Hexi Corridor, 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) southwest of the city of Jiayuguan in Gansu. The structure lies between two hills, one of which is called Jiayuguan Pass. It was built near an oasis that was then on the extreme western edge of China.
Next visit was the most western point of the GW. It's name as The First Stone in Chinese. Here lies the ruins of the GW still stands.

After lunch, we drove to Zhangye. Along the way we visit a scenic spot off the town of Gaotai. Situated south of Heihe River is the majestic Chongwen Pagoda, facing the scenic Dahuwan Reservoir.
We enjoyed the tranquility of the place. The majestic pagodas surrounded by corn fields and lakes.
