Day 13/14

Connecticut/New York

Day 13 was shopping day. We drove from Meridien to Norwalk. Along the way, we stopped by shopping centres and outlets to shop.

Day 14 was also shopping day. We have the whole day as the flight depart New York in the evening. The challenge of the day was the car return. I spent the previous night preview the route to the Return Car Park which is a few kilometers away from the airport Terminal 4.

We left New York Kennedy airport for Frankfurt and then Singapore on SQ25 on A380 for a day long journey back home. We arrived home on Wed 23 Oct 2017

Driving route: Providence-North Stonington-Lyme-La Vita-CT River Museum-CT Valley Railroad-New Britain-Meridien-Hartford

Today plan was to tour Connecticut Valley.

Beautiful residential houses around La Vita

Connecticut Valley Railroad State Park.

The Valley Railroad was to offer visitor a 19^th century railroad experience including an 1892 rail road station, steam locomotives, and vintage trains  of historic cars and an experience to travel back in time on more than 12 miles of railway track through the Connecticut River Valley. Again, we were out of luck and the tickets were sold out.

Lynn went on shopping at West Ridge Shopping Centre while I drove to Costco and also bought Chinese takeaway.
