S AFRICA -
CAPE TOWN
Day 9
7 Dec
HERMANUS
The drive from Oudtshoorn through Mossel Bay to Hermanus was over 5 hours. The roads condition was good and the weather was sunny with blue sky. The drive was pleasant and scenic, through gentle hills, mountains and valleys in lush green everywhere.
After Mossel
Bay, the road took us on vast expanse of land, punctuated by a few remote towns like Swellendum where we stopped
by for lunch. Nearby the blooming purple jacaranda tree cannot be missed.
We encountered a pack of gigantic monkeys crossing the road on the way to Hermanus.
Coastline near Hermanus.
Hermanus is a very beautiful coastal city. We stopped at Gearing Point and enjoyed the rocky coast watching the awesome sea waves splashing against the rocks.
The rock formation was unique and colourful and is great place for photo shots.
The was a Whale Museum nearly but did not enter as it was late.
We stayed
the night at family run Potting Shed B&B. It was cozy and comfortable.
