This was a twelve day family holiday to Cape Town and a driving vacation in South Africa during the school holiday.  Getting leave in December was always difficult for me.

We arrived in Cape Town  in the late morning and picked up our rented car from the airport and drove to Holiday Inn Express. We spent the afternoon in the city.

We spent a few days in Cape Town, touring the popular Table Mountain. Then we drove to Cape of Good Hope. Thereafter, we drove the Garden Route from Mossel Bay to Plettenberg. Instead of going to Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha), We toured Cango Caves.

The return journey, we spend some time in Hermanus. We trekked on Fernloof Nature Reserve to see the South Africa fauna and visited the Museum as well as the Penguin Colony nearby before heading back to Cape Town.
