NEW ZEALAND NOV 1999

New Zealand Nov 1999

19 Nov to 8 Dec 1999

This was the longest family holiday. I was very fortunate to successfully ballot for this prime time leave slot. It was the most sought after leave slot for flight crew with children.

We toured both the North and South Island.

On the evening of Nov 18, 1999, we flew on SIA directly to Auckland at arrive at 10.30 the following morning. I picked up my rental car, a Holden Station Wagon from the airport and drove into the city. We walked around Auckland City and in the late afternoon, we drove further south an stay at Rosetown Motel in the town of Te Awamutu.

The driving route on North Island. Spending time at Waitomo Cave, the geothermal areas around Rotorua and Lake Taupo. We took a ferry to cross the Cook Straits from Wellington

The driving route on the South Island.
