Day 9

SAN FRANCISCO

The itinerary of the day was to visit San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge and walk on it. It was an iconic landmark of San Francisco, dominating the skyline with its red painting. It was completed in 1937, was considered and engineering marvel and was once the longest suspension bridge of the world.

Entire day was spent on shopping

We drove to San Francisco Airport and returned the rented car to the Return Car Park.

We boarded SQ15 and flew back in Singapore via Seoul arriving on 4 Sep.

Day 8

 

MONTEREY AND PACIFIC COAST

This morning we drove around the Monterey peninsula. We made numerous stops to enjoy the scenery from hill tops as well as from the beaches and overlooks. The 17 Mile Drive is a popular scenic route with amazing sights in Monterey.  We started from Shephard Knoll which is on hill top.

17 Mile Drive hugs the coastline of Monterey peninsula where many scenic spots are located.

That was our last viewing on 17 Mile Drive. We had lunch in Monterey and thereafter continued our drive on Highway 1 to San Francisco. We stopped by many beaches to enjoy the beauty of pacific coastline.

We drove to San Francisco and stayed at Alpine Inn, on the outskirt of city centre.
