Day 1
Sacramento
to Lake Tahoe to Carson City
We left Sacramento and drove on El Dorado Highway to Lake Tahoe. The drive was scenic through Eldorado National Forest. Our first stop was at South Lake Tahoe. Thereafter, we drove clockwise around the lake. The lake has elevation above 6225 feet.

Next stop
was at Emerald Bay, Inspiration Point.
We drove north;
stopping whenever there was nice scenery and drove past Tahoe City. After Tahoe
City, our next stop was at Sand Harbour on the east side of the lake.
From there
we drove to Carson city and stayed at Carson City Plaza Hotel. On the way, we
stopped by at Costco and bought 2 big Dungeness crabs for dinner
