Day 1

Singapore-Krabi-Khao Sok National Park

Scoot TR684 landed on Krabi Airport at 0700. I had breakfast at the Terminal and also signed up a local data card. Then I went to collect my rented Toyota Yaris from Europcar and drove to Khao Sok Lake (Cheow Lan Lake). It was 3 hours through mostly farmland, very much similar to Malaysia.

This National Park contains dense virgin jungle, towerlike limestone karsts , rivers and  a stunningly beautiful man made lake with turquoise colour water, created by building a dam.

Today weather was burning hot with temperature at 38C. There are a few scenic lookout and you can enjoy the panoramic  views of the park and lake. 

Khao Sok village is an hour drive from the lake. Most of the visitors are European who enjoy ecotourism and this park has plenty to offer. The accommodation here mostly offer nature and jungle theme. The village has plenty of eateries and adventure agencies. 

I stayed at Khao Sok Morning Mist Resort. The are designed as individual unit built inside a manicured forest. This is my unit, come with mosquito net but no air-conditioning. 

Tomorrow, I have signed up for a full lake tour. There's also a place name Guilin in the Lake.
