Day 8
Day driving trip to Krabi-Trang-Krabi
Today plan was to head south to Trang. There are a few places of interests on the way there.
The Emerald Pool (Sa Morokat) is located about 55 km south of Krabi Khao Phra Bang Nature Reserve. Fresh water supplied from natural streams from the surrounding hills.
There is also Blue Pond about 600m further upstream of Emerald Pool. The blue colour water is stunningly beautiful.
And further downstream is the Crystal Pond.
I truly enjoy the ecosystem and the picturesque landscapes hiking through the forest to see these wonderful pools.
The unique ambience of this rainforest is breathtaking . No wonder so many tourists made their way here. The downside is this attraction has become overcrowded.
The Dragon Tree Sculpture Garden (Wang Thep Taro) was really awesome, in scale and style.
Apparently, the owner took 17 years to craft this extraordinary garden, using dead tree and roots. A lot of Thai quotes. But there is one wise quote in English "The Nature is greater than money"
Tham Le Khao Kob is a limestone cave. The cave is unspoilt and the stalactites and stalagmites formations are so lively and dynamic.
Boat ride are available inside the cave to appreciate the subterranean streams.
At some point, the ceiling is so low that you must lie flat on the small sampan as the ceiling is literally a few inches from your face. Two boatmen skillfully navigate through this scary cave, a lot of pushing to keep everyone from their faces being crushed. This is not meant for the feint hearted.
Trang is a big and busy town in Southern Thailand.
