Day 4

Khura Buri to Ban Bangben near Ranong

As usual, I like to explore, even a small town like Khura Buri. Infront of my accommodation is River Nang Hon and I strolled along this river. 2 dogs came along and followed me.

I  like to observe the morning market and their hawkers stalls to see how the local lives and eats.

Today plan was to drive along the coast and view the beaches along the Andaman Sea.

Ao Koei Beach was the first stop

Pra Pas Beach was next

Heading north for the next few kilometre is Pra Phat Beach.

The uprooted and fallen giant tree stumps littered  over the otherwise pristine beach, bearing testimony to the tragic disaster, the 2004 Tsunami.

These "nature carcasses" on the beaches remind us the power of nature is merciless, and humanity is powerless to escape death regardless of religious belief.

Today most stretches of beaches along the Andaman Coast have signboard installed to warn of Tsuanami hazard and come with evacuation route.

I left this beach and drove to a small town name Kamphuan and had my lunch. I notice there is a large Muslim community here and in this province. There are many mosques  there is one  large mosque here

My next stop is Talae Nok Beach. The beach seem to be popular with Muslim families.

Mani Nakha Beach was about a kilometre north and is rather deserted. Instead, fishermen moored their boats behind the sandbanks.

Have seen enough of beaches and it's time to drive to Andaman Peace resort where I had booked a chalet. The beach is less than 100m away. It's situated in near Ban Bangben town.

I walked on the fine sand along the beach. It's low tide and sea shells was so abundant. Watching sunset this evening was awesome.
