Day on Ko Lanta

A trip to Lanta Old town by motorbike taxi. This town was rather quiet and slow moving. There is only one main street.

Old Lanta pier is long but hardly any boats or human traffic.

After Old Lanta town tour. I went for a therapeutic beach walking over 2 km on the beautiful and pristine beaches with fine golden sands.The beaches are named Beautiful Beach,  Secret Beach and Relax Bay. There are over a dozen beaches, mostly on the western side of the Ko Lanta. 

Beautiful Beach has boulders of all shapes on both sides of the beach.

Secret  Beach is separated from Beautiful Beach by small forest. It's quite a desolate beach but its turquoise water and soft sands is very inviting. The boulders and rocks formation add beauty to the landscape.

Relax Bay is where many resorts are situated. The beach, with the turquoise sea and sea waves that gently wash ashore onto the golden sand is relaxing and alluring. The resorts looked too quiet and underused, it could be the hot weather.

I spent the hot afternoon  hibernating in the room, staying clear of the searing heat.  In the late afternoon, I hired a local taxi to visit Mu Koh National Park. 

Mu Ko Lanta is situated at the tip of Lanta. It's is a marine and nature park but also rich in wildlife and marine life. There's an imposing lighthouse at the tip of Ko Lanta.

The beach is beautiful and part of the shoreline are rocky and these rocks ⁹make the landscape picturesque. 

The beach is just picturesque.

This is the end of my Southern Thailand adventure and it has been very fulfilling.
