Nha Trang

Nha Trang Beach has 7 km of white sand and crystal clear water with idyllic surrounding islands, making it one of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam. 

I was at the beach very early the morning, hoping to see sunrise. Unfortunately, the sky was overcast, and the sun was totally obscured.

The beach park was already busy. The locals were dancing in the park, walking on the sandy beach or jogging on the footpath. One group of adults were doing something interesting, they were playing in the sea waves. They timed themselves precisely, to be swallowed by the waves and triumphantly emerging from the stunt. 

I spent half a day on the beach, walking on the tree lined esplanade, enjoyed watching and listening to the raging waves battering the shores. Light rain came and went.

December is wet season in Nha Trang with strong wind and stormy seas and is definitely not the time for a beach vacation. Nevertheless, the beauty of this beach is still very charming and enchanting, just watching the mighty motion of the waves was awesome. 

Along the shore are many luxurious hotels and malls. There are many cafes to relax and watch the beach and the waves. Sipping Vietnamese coffee and watching life passing by is a popular pastime.

There were more rain in the afternoon allowing me a good excuse to rest in the hotel, some time to plan the remaining journey. Tomorrow I will be heading to Ho Chi Minh City.
