BRATISLAVA
16 to 18
Oct 2013
We said goodbye to Praha and boarded the train to Bratislava, capital of Slovakia. The train journey was about 4 hours and economy ticket was inexpensive. The ride was smooth and comfortable
We arrived in Bratislava main station around 2 pm. We bought tickets for our next destination, Budapest. We stayed at President Hotel, walking distance from the station.
Slovakia is a small country with a population of half million.
Bratislava is a small city and part of the city is restricted to pedestrian only. The city
straddles the Danube River. We had only one full day and walked around this old
city.
The walk in the city was pleasant and many roads are for pedestrians only
