Buerjin to
Kanas Lake
The bus
journey from Buerjin to Kanas took us 3 hours, but we travelled through some
breathtaking scenery, passing through grasslands to high mountains. For the
long journey from Urumqi, it was worth it.
Viewed from
the bus:
Kanas Lake
is located in a valley in the Altai Mountains borders to the north by Russia,
east by Mongolia and the west by Kazakhstan. Tourists are all bussed to Kanas
Scenic Area to see this beautiful lake, which contain a crescent moon bay, a
lying dragon shaped bay and a fairy bay always embraced by mist. Because of the
alpine forests and the hills, this place is sometimes referred to as the Switzerland
of the East.
The crystal
clear water originates from glacier.
Seasonal changes
and weather conditions give the lake and surrounding constantly changing appearance.
We saw the autumn colour of green and yellow and the water rich turquoise colour.
This lake
is bless with untouched natural beauty
