Day 3 in Yellowstone

Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and Mud Volcano Trail and surrounding areas.

The canyon is 24 miles long along the Yellowstone River. It has colourful canyon walls and a thundering waterfalls with several miles of hiking trails connecting to viewpoints such as Artist Point, Upper Falls Viewpoint, Lookout Point, Grand View, Inspiration View and more. There is the Upper Falls and Lower Falls.

After viewing the Grand Canyon, we drove south on Grand Loop Road towards Yellowstone Lake. Along the ways, it was more geysers, hot springs as we drove along Yellowstone River. Some parts were still covered with snow.
