Ljubliana – Postojana Caves – Opatija

·       LJJLjubliana is the capital of Slovenia. It is a green capital where vehicular traffic is restricted in the city. The area on either side of Ljubljana River is the central market with picturesque bridges, cobbled stone roads and elegant building with European architecture.

The points of interest in Ljubliana we viewed were Triple Bridge, Old Town, City Hall, St Nicholas Church, Ljubliana Castle and Dragon Bridge.

The interior of St Nicholas Church is artistically inspirational and beautiful.

The city is charming, clean and elegant with European architecture.

More walking around the city

Postojana Caves

Postojana cave is one of the top tourist sites in Slovenia. The cave is 24km long equipped with an underground train with 4 km of railway track for tourist to experience the fascinating  subterranean paradise shaped by water droplets over millions of years.

The cave is very well maintained and protected. The formations are stunning.

After the cave visit, we drove into Croatia, crossing at Rupa and headed to Opatija for the night.
