NW VIETNAM-
SAPA - AUG 2015
Day 6 of
Tour
20 Aug 2015
Sapa was
established by the French as a Hill station in 1922. It is famous for its
stunning scenery, pristine rice terraces and the cool mountain atmosphere. The
tiny villages dotted the hillsides are home to a diverse array of colourful ethnic
minorities, each with their own culture and customs.
Trekking
through the villages was our main objectives for coming to this corner of the
world. The unique terraces carved on mountains represent human civilization that
stretched back thousands of years. This ecosystem and farming practices help
sustains the hill tribes living in mountainous region with shortages of agricultural land.
We choose a
four-hours trek to Ta Van Village. We started at 10 am and ended around 4pm
with lunch in a café along the track.
