Zagreb
We had half
a day to see Zagreb. Zagreb is the capital of Croatia along the Sava River. Its
rich history dated back to the Roman times.
The morning
tour included the following landmarks.
King Tomislav Square
Zrinjevac Park
Croatian National Theatre
Dolac Marketplace
Stone Gate
St Mark's Square and Church
Parliament House
Tkalciceva Street is the most
vibrant street in Zagreb filled with small boutiques, traditional shops,
restaurants and cafes.
Strossmayer Promenade. This is the
best place for panoramic views of Zagreb. It is one of the most romantic
promenades in Zagreb, also known as Zagreb Stross.
Lotrscal Tower
Zagreb cathedral
Kaptol Square, the Tower and Walls and Statue of Virgin Mary
Jesuit Church of St. Catherine
St Mary Church
Jelacica Main Square Zagreb
Around Zagreb
We bid farewell to Zagreb and with our
fellow tour group members at Zagreb Airport. We flew to Rome for our own vacation in
Italy.
