The drive
on a north westerly direction from Mai Chai to Son La was around 4 hours over
good stretch of road filled with stunning scenery. Along the route, we stopped
frequently to enjoy the views and took photographs. We also stopped on a large
tea plantation on Moc Chau plateau. At night we stayed in the Son La.

Son La Museum
was a colonial French prison known for the brutality on prisoners which was
well known as “hell on earth”.
